A couple drops of good luck.

This morning was yet another eventful one for Matthew & I! We went down to our apartment's office to give our 30 day notice and break our lease. While we were filling out the necessary paperwork, this older gentleman comes in with an application. Crystal (our office lady) makes a comment about how he's co-signing for his sister for a one bedroom apartment. Of course, my ears perked up. Then the man (whose name we later found out was Steve) mentioned that his sister (Kathy) didn't want a room facing south.

He couldn't remember which way was south, and so Matt pointed for him. I spoke up and said that ours faced North/Northeast and that ours was a one bedroom. Steve gave Matt his card and took his number and asked if he could see the apartment some time soon. Technically, ours won't be available until the 1st of September, but we will be out in the middle of August. We expected a call in a week or two, right? Nope! He called Matt maybe 20 minutes later and said his sister had to come up to do some paperwork and asked if we would mind if they took a look.

We warned them that it would be a bit messy, but they said they didn't mind. So they came on up and we showed them all the awesome stuff about our apartment (all the closet space, the ceiling fan in the bedroom, the view outside the apartment, etc). Kathy loved it! So right now, it looks like they will be able to lease out our space. Which is good, because technically we are liable to pay rent until they fill it. Which would suuuuck. So looks like we might be getting lucky here. Everything happens for a reason, that's for sure. God definitely moved in both our lives today by putting us in the office at the same time.

The other stroke of good luck we had this morning was that Autozone called Matt and asked for an interview! Matthew had called the store he had interviewed at and had been told the position was filled. We were both stressing because he had already put in his two weeks at O'Reilly's. But then this morning, the manager from another store called him about a full time position. They're looking for someone fluent in Spanish, and Matt is! He's a bit rusty, but he lived in Argentina for 4 years, so he'll easily pick it back up. I'm not sure exactly what day his interview is on, but I'm definitely praying for it to go well. If it's meant to be, it will be. I have faith that God will provide for us in the exactly right way. Whether it's through Autozone or elsewhere.

We are now 8 days away from the wedding. It's so hard to believe. I feel like it was just a couple weeks ago that I was talking to so many friends about how it was 8 months away. Where has all this time gone? I really can't believe it's already so close. I can't even describe how I feel. It's so strange to think that in 8 days I will have a new name, and I will have gained another set of parents, and four siblings. Holy cow!
