Finally, by about 11:30, everything was in the new place. We even had our cat back! I'm so excited to have Luna back home. However, I'm not exactly looking forward to unpacking. Especially since so much of it was packed within the last few days. I mean, we JUST got it into a box... now we have to take it right back out? Oh well, it might be fun. I am excited to redecorate. We got some awesome decorations as wedding presents, and I can't wait to put them up!
I suppose I should be prepared to this all over again somewhat soon. Once Matt gets stationed somewhere, we will be moving all over again! But next time it will be to another state. Holy cow. Matt is taking his ASVAB on Wednesday. He still isn't sure what branch of the military he wants to go into, but I have faith that God will direct him towards the right one.
In the meantime, I will be spending some time studying Proverbs 31. I'm really excited about it, not only because it's all about being a beautiful woman in God's eyes and all about how to be an excellent and Godly wife, but its the first true Bible study that I've done. I've done a lot of studying about Christianity and about different aspects of it, but this is the first time I'm really studying such a specific section. I'm very excited to see how this goes. I'm pretty much going all out. I'm reading a book to help me; I borrowed it from some dear friends of mine - Sarah & Erica. So shout out to them for helping me move forward!
Beautiful in God's Eyes by Elizabeth George
I officially started this book this morning, and I'm about forty pages in. So far, I'm really enjoying it. The way that Ms. George has set up each chapter is awesome! Each chapter is a line of Proverbs 31, so she really breaks it down. In the first part of the chapter, Elizabeth George discusses what the line means. She goes into details and give examples. For example, when talking about how a woman should be worth more than jewels, she talked about how jewels are very rare and how they must be polished. Finding the woman described in Proverbs 31 is rare, and it takes time to create her. The second part of the chapter is called "The How-To's of Beauty" and she gives ways that you can work towards becoming whatever line she's talking about. She breaks it down into simple things you can work on every single day. The last part of the chapter is called "An Invitation to Beauty" and in this section she encourages the reader to work towards this. It's super encouraging and it's nice to read at the end of every chapter. It's like a little pick-me-up that says "You can do it!".
As you can see, I'm very much enjoying her book right now. I've printed off Proverbs 31:10-31 so that I can highlight, and underline, and circle different things. My Bible print is just a bit too small for that. I probably look just slightly weird at the front desk with that book, my Bible, a journal for notes, and the piece of paper. But who cares? This journey isn't about how I look to other people. It's about how I look in God's eyes.
