Today is my first day back in the "real world". I clocked in at work today for the first time since last Monday! Let me tell you, getting ready was difficult this morning. I didn't even want to get out of bed!
But it was a good thing I got out of bed, because good news awaited! I sent Matt to check the mail while I showered, and he came back with two sets of good news. Who would have thunk!
The most important of the good news was that our apartment situation is figured out! We were so afraid that no one was going to take it and that we would have to pay two rents again for September. We just can't afford to do that. I remember telling y'all about the guy and his sister coming to look at the apartment. Well, we've been praying that she would want to take it. Crystal, our office lady, told Matt today that the woman has been approved and is moving into our apartment September 1st! We are officially off the hook with Columns IV. And to top it off, they aren't making us pay utilities for the last half of August! Our lease says that we are liable to pay utilities until the next tenant is in there, but Crystal said she isn't going to make us do that. She said she'd feel bad having us pay for the electricity when they're in there painting and cleaning the carpets and stuff. So yay for that!
The second piece of good news is that we got another gift in the mail this morning. We are so beyond blessed with the amount of gifts and love that we got. I seriously don't think we can ever say thank you enough. Strangely, I'm actually looking forward to writing the thank you cards! (I know, I know.. I'm weird). Those will have to wait until next week though. This week is crammed full of stuff to do.
Tomorrow, I take Luna back to the vet to have her ears checked out. She seems like she's just fine now, but we want to double check to make sure that nasty ear infection is gone for good! I'm so excited to see her tomorrow morning. It's been way too long since I've seen her, and I seriously miss her. The good news about Luna is that I get her back on Sunday!!! After Sarah keeping here for almost a month, I'm finally getting my baby back!
The rest of this week will be packing, packing, packing, and moving. I work all day Saturday, so I'm going to pack as much as I can tomorrow and Friday morning for Matt & whoever else to move during the day Saturday. We're moving all the big stuff Sunday! It's going to be an extremely busy rest of the week and weekend. I can't wait to be in our new home though! We get to rearrange and redecorate all over again. It's going to be awesome!
As you can see, we have a lot of good news in our lives right now. It's almost too much to handle! But I'm totally down with it. I can't even tell you how often I thank God. Literally all day, every day. That's the best good news of all! God loves us more than we could ever love ourselves.
