Let's Play Catch Up.

I know that it's been a few days since I've written anything. Life, as usual, has been just a little bit crazy.

Let's start with my Tuesday night dinner.
Rachael and I went to Panera for three hours. It was one of the best catch up dinners ever. It felt so good to see her again. It was so hard to go from best friends to not talking ever. I know that things will never be back where they were a few years ago, but there are things that can be mended. I really hopt that we can continue to mend our friendship. And the Mac & Cheese was delicious!

Let's talk about tattoos next.
Today, one of my bosses came to me and told me that some people (all older) had complained about my tattoos. She told me that the tattoo on my wrist (which says family) is fine, but my other two aren't. For those who don't know, I have a tattoo that goes along my collarbone that says "I refuse to sink" and I have another on the inside of my upper left arm that says "Knowledge is not necessarily wisdom" and has the eye of Horus. My boss told me I need to start covering up my tattoos and told me to not take it personally. I was actually pretty upset by it. I mean, my tattoos are part of who I am. I will never understand the generation gap with tattoos. I just don't understand how an older person can literally say "Those are disgusting", especially when they are tasteful. They're art, not a disease. As a result, I'm now having to go buy some cardigans or something of the sort to cover my artwork. Also, if someone has an issue with my tattoos, they should come to me about them, not my boss. My tattoos do not effect how I do my job and they do not effect my attitude.

I read something really inspirational the other day.
One of my former teachers from high school also writes a blog. She's been through some rough times lately (I won't go into details in respect for her privacy), and she posted a blog entry the other day ab out an interaction with God. Basically, she cleared out her heart for Jesus. She let go of all the bad and bitter feelings that had filled her heart for weeks and let her heart be cleaned by God. That sounds odd at first, but it was seriously so inspirational. It really was a great example to me how Jesus conquers all. No trouble is too big for Him. He's definitely a sold rock to stand on.

Now it's spring break.
I turned in my final assignment online today at work and I'm officially off for a week! Well, off from school anyway. I still have some work. BUT, I'm off next Friday, so Matthew & I are going to KC for four days! If anyone in that area would like to see me, let me know!
